Dralven Notebook
How We Work

Standards.
Sources.
Scrutiny.

Dranthel Notebook operates on a fixed set of editorial commitments. Every article on men's everyday wellness habits passes through the same review sequence before it reaches the reader. This page documents that sequence in full.

Editorial Principles

Dranthel Notebook operates under the following editorial principles: articles on men's wellness habits are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

Dranthel Notebook is an independent editorial publication covering everyday wellness habits, natural lifestyle practices, and evidence-informed routines for active men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

The Review Process
01

Topic Selection

Writers propose topics grounded in the broader wellness research landscape. Each proposal is evaluated against the publication's scope: everyday habits, natural routines, sleep awareness, nutrition observation, and movement patterns for active men in Malaysia.

02

Source Review

Content published by Dranthel Notebook is selected based on published wellness and nutritional research, and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. Writers are required to link to primary sources where available.

03

Second Edit

Every draft passes through a second-editor review for factual accuracy, tone consistency, and stop-word compliance. Editorial language is kept observational and reportorial — the publication does not adopt prescriptive or directive phrasing in any published article.

04

Publication

Approved articles are published with full author attribution, date stamp, and reading-time estimate. Corrections are appended to the published article with a correction note and date. No article is removed without a public notice of the reason.

Source Standards

What counts as a credible source

Accepted Sources

  • Peer-reviewed journals in nutrition science, sports science, and public health, accessed via established academic repositories.
  • Published observational studies on men's everyday habits in Southeast Asian populations, where geographically relevant to Malaysian readers.
  • Traditional wellness literature and ethnobotanical records from Malaysian and broader Southeast Asian cultural practice.
  • First-person observation journals and structured habit-tracking records, clearly marked as editorial observation, not research findings.

Declined Sources

  • Brand-funded white papers, promotional wellness content, or sources with undisclosed commercial affiliations to supplement or product companies.
  • Anecdotal social media posts, influencer content, or non-attributed wellness claims without traceable source documentation.
  • Content promising rapid or dramatic physical transformation outcomes, or framing any single habit as a comprehensive solution to health concerns.
  • Any source using outcome language that conflicts with Dranthel Notebook's editorial position on wellness as an observational, not prescriptive, practice.
Accuracy Policy

Corrections

When a factual error is identified in a published article — whether by a reader, a contributor, or the editorial team — the correction is noted at the top of the affected article with a timestamp. The corrected passage is updated in place, with the original phrasing preserved in a correction note below the article body.

Disclosure

Commercial Independence

Dranthel Notebook does not accept sponsored content, affiliate arrangements, or paid placement of any kind. Contributors are required to disclose any prior commercial relationship with brands, products, or organisations mentioned in their submissions. Undisclosed relationships are grounds for article retraction.

Scope Boundary

What We Do Not Cover

Articles published on Dranthel Notebook are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday wellness habits, natural lifestyle practices, and daily routines for active men. The content is not intended as professional advice and does not replace consultation with a qualified health professional. Readers with specific health concerns are encouraged to speak with a qualified professional.

Verification

How sources are verified before publication

Each article submitted to Dranthel Notebook undergoes a three-point source check. First, the writer provides the original link or citation for any referenced study, survey, or published work. Second, the second editor confirms the reference is accessible and accurately represented in the article text. Third, any quoted figure, statistic, or finding is cross-referenced against the original source before the article is cleared for publication.

Where a source is a traditional wellness practice rather than a published study, the writer is required to provide cultural context, geographic attribution, and any available documentation of the practice's historical use in Malaysian or regional wellness culture.

Common Questions

Editorial process questions

From draft submission to publication, most articles pass through the review sequence in five to seven working days. Source verification typically accounts for two to three of those days, particularly where references involve traditional wellness literature or regional publications that require additional context checking.
The editorial team considers submissions from writers with documented experience in men's wellness observation, nutritional awareness, or everyday lifestyle documentation. All submissions are subject to the same four-step review process as in-house articles. Writers should disclose any commercial affiliations at the point of submission.
Traditional botanical practices and regional wellness customs are approached through an observational lens. Writers document the practice as it exists within Malaysian cultural context, provide historical attribution where available, and note any published ethnobotanical or nutritional research that examines the practice. The editorial position does not extend to outcome claims of any kind.
Dranthel Notebook treats published wellness research as a reference landscape for editorial observation, not as a source of prescriptive directives. Articles present research findings in their proper context — as observational evidence, not personal recommendations. Readers are encouraged to draw their own conclusions and to consult a qualified health professional when specific concerns arise.
Readers who identify a factual inaccuracy in any published article are encouraged to contact the editorial team at [email protected] with the article title, the passage in question, and a reference to the source they believe contradicts the published claim. The team aims to respond within 48 hours.
